The Health Science Center Student Government Association Committee on Community Service established a Career Clothing Closet for the campus.
What is it?
The Career Clothing Closet is a free resource for Health Science Center students who need professional attire for interviews, career fairs, and other career development opportunities. It also offers scrubs and other clothing assistance for students in need.
How can I access the closest?
The SGA Career Clothing Closet is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Students can visit the Office of Student Life (OSL), located in the Briscoe Library, 3rd floor, Rm 3.094, during these hours. An OSL staff member will take them to the closet.
Students are encouraged to scan the QR code located inside the closet and fill out the check-out form if they take any item(s). The form is anonymous, and the data helps SGA and OSL track utilization of the space.
How can I contribute to the closet?
Donations to the Career Clothing Closet are encouraged and appreciated! Students can drop off donations at the Office of Student Life. Please review the guidelines below before donating any items:
Requirements: Clothes donated must be cleaned, gently used, and free of any stains or damage (rips, holes, anything beyond normal wear and tear).
Donations Accepted: Business/professional clothing, scrubs, casual clothing, ties, belts, and coats/jackets.
Donations Not Accepted: Damaged items, worn-out shoes, items that are beyond normal wear and tear, or any items with holes or stains.
Please contact the Office of Student Life with any questions.
