What is the QEP?

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a requirement for reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The QEP is both a document developed and submitted to SACSCOC and a process involving the entire UTHSCSA community.

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a significant part of the Health Science Centers reaffirmation of accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The Health Science Center is charged by SACSCOC during each 10-year reaffirmation cycle with developing and implementing a QEP focused on improving a specific student learning outcome. The next QEP proposal is due to SACSCOC in August-September 2017.
