Active Duty

If you are currently serving in the military, you may be eligible for funding offered through the Department of Defense Tuition Assistance program. Check your eligibility status and the amount for which you qualify with your Service prior to enrolling.

Traditional Financial Aid & VA Benefits

Students can use VA Education benefits in conjunction with federal and state aid. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov to be considered for grants and student loans. Click here for more information on how to apply. Submitting your FAFSA will also allow you to submit the UTHSCSA Scholarship Application.  Eligible students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree can receive up to $5815 in Pell Grant for 2016-2017. Federal Direct Loans are also available; amounts vary depending on the student’s degree and cost of attendance budget. Students are strongly encouraged to seek government loans prior to considering private loans since government loans have more favorable terms and conditions such as deferments, forbearances, and different repayment plans.
