Support student scholarships for clinical laboratory science students with financial need.

BENEFACTOR BACKGROUND

The Medical Laboratory Sciences Endowed Scholarship was established by Dr. Peter E. Ramirez in 2002 to support outstanding students in the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) program to achieve their career goals. Contributions to the fund were made by alumni, UTHSCSA faculty and administrators, and physicians to address the shortage of medical laboratory scientists nationwide. It is a rigorous course of study and the UTHSCSA/MLS program is the only one in San Antonio.
