Purpose of position |
Under general supervision, provides routine technical assistance in performing assigned and delegated tasks in support of research projects. Responsibilities include assisting or conducting a variety of research projects of limited complexity, collecting, evaluating and interpreting data for clinical and diagnostic research. |
Job Duties |

- Provides routine technical assistance in performing assigned and delegated tasks in a research lab.
- Assists investigator with recruitment of prospective study participants in research studies including screening, consenting and collecting data/checklists.
- Assists in session preparation, equipment setup and maintenance.
- Performs routine tests with direction from supervisor/ manager and investigators.
- Assists in conduct of research projects including recording, analyzing and interpreting data.
- Implements safety procedures and assure proper protocols, unique to each research project, are followed.
- Interacts with regulatory bodies and helps with maintaining regulatory documents (IRB).
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to patient information and other sensitive information
- Assists with all other aspects of the research as needed.

General Qualification for the Position |
Required:
- Student must provide initial “Proof of Eligibility” notice when applying.
- Attention to detail by achieving thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently within a research environment or laboratory schedule.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other e-mail software
