Renewing & Updating Your Student Organization

Renewal Process for Existing Organizations

  • Student organizations seeking University recognition must register on an annual basis.
  • The following steps must be completed before a student organization will be recognized as an official student organization in good standing with the university.
  • This process takes place during the spring semester of each academic year.

Annual Renewal & Executive SummaryOutgoing leadership1. Go to uthealthsa.presence.io/admin

2. Click on the Organizations tab

3. Click the three dots to the right of your organization’s name then click “Transition”

4. Update this page and fill out the Executive Summary

5. Click "Submit"


If you have a revised constitution, go back to your organization page and upload the new constitution via the Documents tab.
Attend a Student Organization Renewal Training (State Mandated Risk Management Training: Includes Risk Management, Hazing, and Bystander Intervention)At least 2 incoming officers of the organization1. Click this [LINK] to view all training sessions and to RSVP for a Risk Management Training Session.

2. Be sure to mark your calendar of the date you selected.

3. Attend the training session you selected to receive credit for your organization.

Updating an Existing Organization

  1. Go to uthealthsa.presence.io/admin
  2. Log in with your UTHSA credentials.
  3. Click on the “Organizations” tab.
  4. Find your organization and click on the name.
  5. Click the pencil at the top right of your organization’s page.
