Getting Involved

The Office of Student Life advocates for all students, amplifies the collective student voice and facilitates the UTHSCSA student experience through student leadership initiatives, community building, campus-wide events and wellness programming.

Student Life News & Announcements

Student Life will keep you updated and provide upcoming event information and announcements. Student Life coordinates transition programs, which may include peer counseling, social events, and pertinent retention programs. This also involved collaboration with students in the implementation of programs and activities that support students.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) of the Health Science Center is comprised of representatives and alternates from each school, selected to unify all students and faculty on campus.

Student Organizations

There are more than 80 recognized student organizations on campus. Most are professional- and discipline-specific. Others are cultural, religious, social, or special interest.

Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders work with incoming students during the first three weeks of the semester to ease with academic and social transitions to The UT Health Science Center.

Students interested in applying for the Student Regent and a Non-Voting Student Representative to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
